Accommodation & Facilities
The Ilkley Reserve is situated along the Orpen Road in Mpumalanga province, 400km from the nation's capital city Pretoria, and only 28km from the Kruger National Park's Orpen Gate. The reserve hosts 3 camps, each with a unique style that accommodates School Camps, Camping, Backpacker Dormitories, to a 3 Star Lodge. We offer different tours and day packages for guests through, as well as self-drive information on all the different venues in the area. We host a traditional tribal village on the premises where tours and evening shows are available, and interaction with the local people is a must!
NYALA SAFARI CABINS
3 Bedroom Cabins, twin sharing with air conditioning. 2 Showers & 2 toilets in each cabin, as well as tea & coffee facilities. These Cabins are not self catering as there is a Outdoor dining area where we cater all meals. The facility includes a bar, fireplace under the stars, swimming pool & secure parking.

INGWE ADVENTURE CAMP
10 Dormitories accommodate up to 150 kids in simple but comfortable accommodation. 5 Dormitories are en-suite, with hot water showers and toilets, and the other 5 dormitories each have ablutions only 5 meters from the accommodation, also with hot water & toilets. The campsite hosts 2 beautiful Lapa's situated under large shady Marula & Jackleberry trees, tuckshop, thatched Lapa, Adventure activities for team building, obstacle courses, archery rock climbing, GPS Navigation and much more.

ACACIA REST CAMP
Full campsite hosting up to 20 dome tents, with a dormitory hosting up to 16 guests, as well as 4 x en-suite twin sharing rooms. Facilities include a large lapa situated under a large Acacia Fevertree, wooden pool deck with thatch, swimming pool, dining area, bar area, indoor ablutions & secure parking.

DIRECTIONS FROM JOHANNESBURG (CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE DIRECTIONS)
Take the N4 highway towards Witbank / Middelburg.
Take the R540 / Belfast turnoff.
Continue to Dullstroom, then Lydenburg, then Origstad.
Continue over the Abel Erasmus pass, and through the JG Strydom tunnel.
Continue until you get to the Khamai Reptile Park on your right hand side..
There you turn right.
Continue straight until you get the R531 / Orpen turnoff.
There you turn left.
Drive around 10km and look out for a sign saying Ilkley or Avoca on your left.
There turn left onto the Avoca Road - Go through the security gates and we are the first on the left.

Take the R40 from Nelspruit to White River, and then to Hazyview.
Continue on the R40 to Bushbuck Ridge.
Take the Hoedspruit road, after passing through Bushbuck Ridge.
Turn right onto the R531 / Orpen.
Drive around 10km and look out for a sign saying Ilkley or Avoca on your left.
There turn left onto the Avoca Road - Go through the security gates and we are the first on the left.
